Hey you!
My name is Nurit and this is my blog.
What’s the blog about? You know the saying “there is no place like home”? Well… I say, that depends on what kind of home you have and what kind of food you eat, right?!
But don’t worry, you have come to the right place. I try to take care of both. Stick around?

More about Me
I used to be a personal chef to a few rich and famous people, as well as to ordinary families like yours and mine. Then I started thinking that instead of cooking for only a handful of families, I want to help more people have dinner together with their family at the end of the day. This is certainly something I am looking forward to every day.
How did I get to food blogging?
You really want to know? Then grab a chair and let’s talk about it.
I used to be an organizational consultant and researcher for almost a decade in my previous career because I didn’t want to be another woman stuck in the kitchen. After years of doing that, I have finally admitted that my true love is cooking. Even home making. Well, what do you know… So I started a second career as a personal chef and cooked for local celebrities and ordinary families in Seattle and its suburbs for about four years. Then I wanted to open a little coffee shop…
But, after becoming a mom for the second time, I have looked for and found a new direction that combines all my skills and things I have done in the past which turned out to be cooking for and writing about family, friends, relationships, and good food. It’s not always perfect but I won’t sugar-coat it.
Being a personal chef and a parent to 2 kids, plus doing my daily chores and tasks around the clock – like most of us - made me change my style of cooking. Efficiency is key! I prefer quick, easy, family style cooking which helps me deal with trying to do it all and cook most of the nights. Some days we eat leftovers. This is real life, right?!
I left behind the big city life and moved to Seattle about 8 years ago on a rainy August day. Yeah, they don’t call it Rain City for nothing. As the years went by I grew to love this lifestyle and place where raccoons steal the strawberries in our backyard and where I can see trees from my window.
How about you?
