It's easier for guests if I take them out and cool them a bit.
If I'm extra generous, I'll peel the eggs for them :)
You bring up an excellent point! " eggs in stews and braises. They soak up the great flavour of the sauce." I should definitely think about it next time I make a stew or a braise.

So you serve the eggs in their shells or do you remove the eggs, let cool slightly and then pop them back into the tray before serving? I love eggs in stews and braises. They soak up the great flavour of the sauce.

Instead of barley he came back with… oats! And this is the second time this had happened! To his defense, he claims that the store put a label “Barely” under the oats’ container. But between us, we know, girls, it’s always the guys’ fault, right?!

Seriously? Wow. Thanks for giving all us women a bad name and perpetuating the stereotype.

beautiful dish!
very reminiscent of a chinese dish my mom made for me as a little girl and a dish I am making for my girls this week. it has that beautiful brown broth (only from soy sauce and caramlized sugar), cinnamon and star anise, whole eggs (cooked peeled and simmered) along with pork belly.
