Thank you everyone for your kind words and encouragements.
I guess that mostly what's on my mind is how what happens to us as children, the happy and sad, will affect us later in our lives... It makes me worry sometimes...

O no... so sorry to hear about that Nurit! But I am sure - as you said - she will get better. I actually had a similar experience when I was young. I fell on the ice while skating and broke one of my front tooth in half and the other one was 'dead' and turned out black after some time. So I have now two caps on those front teeth... They're permanent though and very strong so all is well, but it's a scary experience!! I can still remember... Good luck and I hope she will recover soon!

Oh Nurit - so sorry to hear about your little girl! Don't you wish you could protect your children from everything bad. Somehow, I think that you must have even felt more hurt than her in some way. I know children are really resilient and while you worry, I am sure she is going to be all fine - especially with such a loving Mum to be there for her.

It's the worst when they're that little and you can't quite explain why they hurt, all you can do is comfort.

My oldest was somewhere between one and two one day when I went to pick her up from my mother's house, and she climbed up on a dining room chair . . . and fell off, knocking the back of her head against the not-rounded edge of the table. There was a lot of blood, and a lot of crying. My brother was there, freaking out, insisting that I had to take her to the emergency room (I mean, a lot of blood). Thankfully I've learned that I have a pretty good head in a crisis situation, and I didn't panic, also (not until afterwards). I held her, keeping a compress to the wound, rocking her while she cried herself out. She was fine. I don't even think I took her to the doctor's office afterwards (scalp wounds bleed a lot, even when they're very superficial). But it was one of the most terrifying things I've been through.

(I've been reading your 'blog since October or November of last year, but I've never had anything worthwhile to say!)
