in Poland we have day called (translate) “fat thursday” when we eat donats, cakes etc. These are great for that day!!!

Ah, Solvang, CA, we visited there 8-9 years ago. Actually that clear glass plate with the bumps on the bottm is part of a set we schlepped all the way from there to WA

Ha! When I read the post about the poffertjes, I wondered where my mom’s cast iron abelskiver pan was. She bought it when we visited Solvang, CA . . . almost thirty years ago. I don’t think she’s ever actually made them. I know I was always intimidated by the recipe, but maybe now I’ll borrow her pan and try!
