		<description>Hmm, I&#039;ve never tried it. I&#039;d say yes up to the step of whipping the egg whites (and mixing with the other ingredients).
They will deflate and the batter will be less airy and puffy when you fry it if you do this ahead.</description>

I don&#039;t think she&#039;s ever actually made them.  I know I was always intimidated by the recipe, but maybe now I&#039;ll borrow her pan and try!
