I used a different crust recipe for each of the pies to see if I had a preference. I’ll do a separate post eventually, but for now, I can confidently direct you to Smitten Kitchen’s recipe. I do use the food processor, but other than that, I found her simple recipe was just as good as any that I tried that included tricks for extra flakiness.

I don't need a spoon. I'll bring my own. Just give me your address! Seriously, that pie looks AMAZING. I can almost taste it. I would love to bake with you (or at least enjoy something someone else has baked over a nice cup of coffee!).

Krista,
Well… that will depend on how you like your bananas 
I like them fresh and not too browned, but some people like them browned and more honey-like tasting, you know.
So, for me, 2 days is the limit. On day 3, everything tasted good, the whipped cream, the custards, but I didn’t like the bananas flavor after day 3. However, if you make it for a crowd/holiday dinner and you have guests you probably won’t have much left on day 2. Or 3!
Also, if you decorate with fresh banana on top they will brown (try tossing with a little lemon juice) and dried bananas will become soggy, so add those right before serving.

Hey there! I love this recipe! Found you via Cakespy :)

I was wondering how long this would be good for? Can I make it a day in advance? What's your experience with this :)

xoxo
