Yes, I know what you mean. This is why I have resisted buying a DSLR and dealing with lenses that followed for years.

Beautiful photos! When shopping for a new camera this year, I considered a number of things, including photo quality and the convenience of carrying the camera around, particularly when traveling. While part of me wanted a digital SLR, I ended up with a Nikon Coolpix P90. It takes beautiful pictures, has a great zoom (without having to deal with lenses), and I’m very happy with it.

When it comes to food photography, lighting and styling are the areas in which I want to practice. It was great to see your process here!

Very well done on the remake! It looks pretty much like the original! I love my 50 mm 1.8 although I don’t use it much for foodphotography. For that I love my 100 mm 2.8 as it is fast and beautifully sharp. For more wide angle shots I use 24-105mm which gaves me a nice zoom and is still ok-ish in low light conditions although it does mean having to turn up the iso.
