All I can say to you is that I have tried many times to get closer to different family members. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have a need to be closer to at least a few of them and so I try again. Sometimes I give up when I feel the other person doesn't respond. At least I reached out and created an opportunity. Sometimes the bridge is just too long and shaky to cross to the other side and I know that even though we are family, we are different people. So... that didn't help much, did it?! :) Wishing you all the best! Kristin,
