Thank you, Jeniffer! This makes me very happy to hear.
And thank you too, Matt. It was challenging, but doable. I'll post later on about what I've learned.

Kate, Yes, I like Joy. She makes me happy, her posts are fun to read.
I am more family oriented, as you said, and it’s a totally different experience.
As for the picky eaters... I don’t think there’s a solution really. I see my 14 months who used to eat everything and now starts to picky. On the other hand, my 6 years old used to picky and now starts to eat veggies. I think we just need to let them do their thing, continue to make good and healthy meals, put everything on the table and let them choose while encouraging taking a bite to taste at least, they will come around one day. Most important don’t fight over it. Let them see us enjoy the food instead.

I am so, so excited that I found this blog! I stumbled onto it via a tweet about the "real food" book giveaway you're doing (and I think this comment counts as an entry, if I read the info correctly) but now I'm more excited about adding you to my feedreader than anything else. I've been looking for a well-written food blog, and I think this might be it!

Thank you!

Great site! I found you from Joy the Baker (love her too!) but I really like your family friendly approach. I have two little ones too and I am trying so hard to get us in the direction of making and eating the SAME foods for dinners each night...my kids are still so pickey! We'll get there sooner or later, but in the meantime, your site will help give me creative inspiration! Thanks!

I really like your focus on preparing great food for the family with a finite amount of money and time. I think what you're doing for Hunger Action Week is a great way to raise awareness. Raised mine, at least, since it's so easy to take what we have for granted. There are plenty who would be ecstatic to live like we do in these "tough" economic times. Keep it up!
