Thanks so much for the post! I'm sure you'll do great with the Hunger Challenge!

Also, those cakes all look super delicious! No matter which you choose, you're going to have one happy kid (and husband :D).

I totally agree...I do relate baked goods to food. Some of my fondest memories are of my grandfather sitting in the kitchen making homemade apple pies. (my grandfather was the cook as he was wounded in the Korean war and he had this really stall stool he would sit on and lean over the counter and the stove to cook) He was an AMAZING cook and an even better grandfather. To me, the smells and sounds and tastes of a good cake or pie are what anyone needs to feel their family.

I know what you mean about cooking and family. My daughter told a friend of mine who doesn't cook that she couldn't imagine having a mother who didn't cook. That still makes my heart sing!

Make the pavlova! I just love the name pavlova because it reminds me of one of my first pointe shoes named after the russian dancer Anna Pavlova (which was also what the dessert was named after).

Have a wonderful weekend with your family!
