1 family. friendly food. » The blog moved from Blogger to Wordpress last night

Good morning,

 Did you notice?

My blog moved from Blogger to WordPress last night. It all went smoothly, so it seems

I don’t see anything funny, besides some design changes (that we will work on later).

Thought there might be some problems, but everything looks fine.

Thank you to my wonderful husband for doing this!!!

Hi Nurit! Saw your Twitter update. I’ve often wondered the motivation behind moving to WordPress. Are there better features? More space? Just wondering, I’ve seen so many people doing it recently. I’m glad I found your new site. I’ll bookmark it!

The main reason is that our host is closing the service, so I needed to find another host. BUT, we’ve been thinking about it for a long time – every time I see a cool feature in another blog, turns out Blogger doesn’t support it but WordPress does.

Looks like that WordPress is much better than Blogger.

I’ve been thinking about to move it but there’s annual fee in WordPress if I’m not mistaken, right?

There are 3 ways to work with WordPress:
    1. The blog is hosted on wordpress.com for free. It is limited in features, and might show their ads (not yours).
    2. The blog is hosted on wordpress.com for a fee. It has more features and it is ad-free.
    3. The blog is hosted by a hosting company. You pay the hosting company a fee (the WordPress software itself is free), and you can deploy any plugin to get the most functionality possible.

    See http://wordpress.org/ for more information.
